Farewell our brother and priest Fr. Patrick Tukidia, ss.cc.
Fr. Eric Cruz, ss.ccc. blesses Fr. Patrick with the Our Lady of Peace statue
This evening of September 8th, we came together, shared a meal and social with our brother, Fr. Patrick Tukidia,
ss.cc., who spent his break here in Fiji before heading to Rome for further studies.
We are grateful to have had our brother here with us in Fiji after he left our shores in 2021. It was a great joy to welcome him back and spend this time together before he embarks on his journey of further studies in Rome.
Before our dinner and gathering, we prayed over Fr. Pat with the statue of Our Lady of Queen of Peace. This is a tradition in our Congregation, where we entrust our brothers to the protection and care of Our Lady before they leave our shores.
It was especially fitting that this blessing took place today, on the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as we entrust Fr. Pat to Mary's maternal care and protection as he begins this new chapter of his journey.
May Our Lady of Queen of Peace accompany him, guide him, and keep him safe throughout his studies in Rome. We wish you all the best, Fr. Pat from us here in the formation.
May God bless you abundantly on this new journey saka Fr. Pat.
